V Festival, sponsored by Virgin Media, returns for its 14th year with a truly heavyweight line-up for 2009. Over the August 22 & 23 at Hylands Park, Chelmsford and Weston Park, Staffordshire, festival goers will unite once again for a weekend to remember culminating with mighty headliners The Killers and Oasis. Tickets go on sale at 10am on Friday, March 6, and music fans are being advised to contact official ticket outlets fast. A collection of music's elite has signed up to give V the best bill yet. Bands, old and new, will entertain music aficionados and festival debutantes alike giving them one hell of an experience. The Virgin Media Union stage sees lyrical genius Peter Doherty take to the stage and joined by a host of other exciting acts. Strongbow and Bacardi are also back with a bang this year, with exciting news of their offerings to be announced soon.
